getting older is so strange. there is a beauty in the way that nothing is permanent. however, watching what was your foundation leave the world piece by piece whether it be family, or friends, a sports idol or in this instance a favored musician gives awareness that we're all here for just a moment and that the world you knew is getting a little less colorful. this song will always be in my best of the 90s mix. rest easy.

In College I waited tables and bartended. My girlfriend of 4 years (2 prior to college.) broke up with me. I was in a bad place (like most of you during a significant break up.) I isolated myself for almost 6 weeks. I lived with 2 other coworkers but they gave me space. Duncan Sheik helped me during that time. I would replay, she runs away, Barely breathing, and Serena, till I fell asleep. After 6 weeks my roommates told the staff why I was as distant. They (guys and girls) would literally make me get dressed to go out. 3 months later my ex started calling. Thankfully the girls would answer and give her an ear full. Sorry, Duncan meant a lot to me.
