In my personal experience and the experience of what my mom told me, just before Africans began coming here they admired black americans because of what they saw on TV but reality ended up being harsher than that when they first traveled here. When she first came here black americans would say ignorant stuff and ask her ignorant stuff all the time such as “Lady did you come here on trees” “OMG did you bring Ebola over here” “You’re an African Booty Scrather”. And another thing that made it worse was that a lot of her african friends that were males would try out different relationships with other ethnicities and a lot of the ones who went to black americans were threatened, beaten, or possibly killed.
