I am going exactly through this with literally all of my friendships. I became such a people pleaser (thinking I was being a good friend) that I actually never formed a reciprocate bond with anybody.

wanted to be authentic because i lk knew what would happen once i start mirroring instead.. i kept choosing to fight for things because deep down i knew that the high probability is, it will fall apart VERY SLOWLY once i start to let things be and just giving back the same energy..i gotta admit how tiring and maddening it is to keep feeling like you gotta fight to earn a spot in someone's life.. meanwhile, i keep trying to find reasons to keep choosing em.. because if i don't, they could or would just let me drift away slowly for whatever reasons that are valid to em, hurtful to me..and I don't have the energy to keep it going by myself anymore.

Out of fear and anxiety I think I've put someone in this position at some point in my life 1. What can I do to change or at least warn the other person of this tendency? Or take accountability and not dismiss their observations? 2. If this happened somewhat recently is there anything I can do to salvage/reform the relationship with said person? 3. Am I cooked?
