Thank you! This was super helpful. I’ve been wanting Childe for over a year but he never got a rerun. In the meantime I got c2 Citlali, Durin, and Nicole specifically for him. I was also wondering what exactly his c1 does since I can get that from the constellation event.

Extremely in depth and comprehensive guide, amazing :3 My singular addition to this for those at C0, sometimes it is more worth to burst in ranged stance rather than melee. This means while he's using the bow rather than hydroblades. Bursting in ranged stance auto regens half his energy pool, so you have more consistent uptime on his burst. And ranged burst auto applies riptide, so another way you can apply it to enemies. For that, you would follow the same 3x NA, 1x CA rotation, but then at the end when you deactivate his skill, use the ranged burst. Not only does it ensure riptide stacks persist through setup or for a co-dps, but it also eats several seconds of his skill CD to keep your whole rotation as smooth and comfortable as possible!

OMG thank you SO MUCH! I was really struggling to find a good guide since a lot of them are a few years old and I couldn’t make sense of any of them, so thank you for dumbing it down. I’m pre-farming for him at the moment and with weapon (Viridescent Hunt) and current artifacts he should have about 80% CRate and 130% CDamage. I’ll keep farming for artifacts but is that a terrible crit ratio for a starting point?

I had this man at 100% crit rate, 200% crit dmg, like 130 Er, and I don't remember his attack, not only did he not crit, but he also would hit low numbers. Even with a premium team. He's also C4. He's in timeout for now
