not me going into an entire ramble about how also our misunderstanding on what the word really meant is the perfect example of "White privilege". it is a priviledge to be so catered to and sheltered that when faced with a slur, we reduce it to a harmless saltine reference because we are the same color as them, being able to do that with slurs meant to reference a much more grim part of history is a privilege. though this is just my opinion, and I'm just some foolish dude with a phone and a brain that wont stfu. (I specifically used grim instead of "a much darker time in our history" even though the pun would be funny, now is not the place or time)
