What is the fucking difference between sun rising at 8:30 and setting at 4:30 and sun rising at 9:30 and setting at 5:30? Enlighten me. Please. Because I’m super excited about having SOME daylight after work.

Wicked Woman :
Sun setting at 4:30pm is way more depressing than the sun rising at 9:30am. There is no winning in winter because the sunlight is so short no matter what. Whether they change the clocks or not we have a short amount of sun all winter. I’d rather a later sunset in winter so it’s not dark when people get off work.

As a native Saskatchewanian, now living in Manatoba, I am super for this. Time changes suck, and literally kill people when they loose an hour of sleep. Both heart attacks and car accidents take a significant uptick in the weeks after loosing an hour from our night

there is only so many hrs of sunlight each day no matter what. I think time change is kind of dumb

Children will be standing on cold dark mornings in winter at street corners or long lane way in the country waiting for busses or walking to school. The people who make the rules in the summertime will be enjoying the long days at their cottages in the summer. The children were never considered.

In January i go to work in the dark and come home in the dark. So that is depressing enough. This gives me some daylight for the ride home. Super excited for this. This is great for your mental health

Should’ve done 1 more change so we’re at least on the same time as a couple of other provinces.

Drive dark, arrive dark; it doesn't matter if it's sunny when I'm at work.

Let it stay dark in the morning. More sun in the afternoon when most people are awake and functioning makes sense.

It doesn't add or take away on how much sunlight in a day. I rather have no time change.

people do realise we are still getting the same amount of sunlight in the winter and it is just changing what time we call sunrise, right? I am still going to go to work in the dark, work in the dark and go home in the dark. nothing really changes all that much.

What about those living in Northern Manitoba, where they go to work and it’s dark and they come home and it’s dark regardless of daylight sightings. At least this way with those of us who do live in the north our kids will be coming home from school while they’re still a little bit of daylight out.

I'm pissed that it's going to push the start of all the Eastern Time-based games back an hour. I would have preferred to keep switching.
