@my.journey.with.a: BREAKING BARRIERS 💜 Yaa at work at Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City. Every time I see Yaa at work, my heart is filled with gratitude. For a young woman living with autism and requiring significant support in many areas of daily life, having the opportunity to work, contribute and be part of a professional environment is something I never take for granted. Today, I especially want to celebrate and appreciate Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City for looking beyond disability and seeing ability, potential and possibility. Inclusion becomes meaningful when organisations are willing to open real doors not simply speak about inclusion, but create opportunities for people with disabilities to participate, learn, contribute and belong. Yaa's journey reminds me that our children can surprise us when society gives them a genuine opportunity. To the management and staff of Kempinski who have welcomed, supported and made room for Yaa, thank you. Your actions are helping to break barriers and challenge perceptions about autism and disability in Ghana. May more organisations follow this example. This is what inclusion looks like.
