I could have written this myself. My five month old had me seeing every hour last night. 🥱

I totally get this, I feel like some days I feel like I'm bit like my old self and other days I just feel like I'm drowning. No advice on that just solidarity, but with the chutney if you need that extra breathing room of time before your holiday I can confirm that chutney works just as well with frozen tomatoes. My little boy was born this time last year so there was no chance of chutney making at that point but I chucked all the tomatoes in the freezer and made the chutney closer to Christmas and it worked wonderfully!

I feel this! My baby has not slept any longer than 2 hours since she was born!! But last two nights has slept for 4-6 hour stretches yet my body is stuck in flight mode so I am finding myself jolting out of my broken sleep to check on her. Sometimes I feel a little sad and think to myself I can’t be the mum I want to be today because I feel sooooo tired! But I read somewhere that a good nights sleep is on the horizon and nothing a baby does lasts forever! It’s just so hard when you’re in it. I have a few weddings coming up and idk where I’m going to get the energy from to do myself up and have a good time 😭 probs find me sleeping in the reception lol. You’re doing an amazing job I’m sure even if you don’t think you are 🤍

Holly: Life with my rainbow 🌈 :
You reach a point where the balance tips back towards yourself a little bit and drip by drip your cup starts to fill again. It took a while longer with Robyn (now 5) than this, so I'm just trying to go with it this time round and trust it's coming at some point in the future. I have ADHD too and my brain is constantly thinking of all the things I want to do and what needs doing but getting decision fatigue and then finding the days go by and nothing I wanted to get done gets done, yet I equally felt like I haven't stopped. It's so easy to get frustrated with yourself too! xx

Just wondered as I have ADHD my two previous pregnancy’s I was undiagnosed and at the 6 month postpartum stage I really struggled. Both my older two children are now 18 and 17 so a huge age gap now, my little one was 6 months old on 11/03 and I’m finding it so much easier which is strange as I’m now 41.

I’m in the same situation and honestly, I’ve given up on thinking about myself or pursuing anything that will make me feel like myself for now. As soon as I made that decision I felt a bit lighter. It’s sad and shouldn’t be the way but after nights and nights of endless wakeups, I just need to put myself aside for this phase of life

I feel you completely! My 6mo has a cold a tooth cutting and I think is starting a regression, and my 4yo has just started school. I’m absolutely done in, head spinning with sorting Xmas presents, Halloween plans, can’t remember last time I actually did something just for me and feel guilty I’m not in the moment with my youngest and he’s just being carted around while I chase after everything 😮💨😅There’s absolutely nothing wrong with chucking the tomatoes in the freezer and making the chutney when you have some head space x

I feel you! My mum even offered to take him for the night and I said it’s pointless as one nights sleep is not going to change the other 10000x that I have 😂

I literally feel you, I've got a 5 year old and 6 month old and I barely have time for a cup of coffee! it's amazing and exhausting and I cannot function on little sleep, I barely want to shower [Innocent] then if I ever get a good night sleep I want to do everything with that extra energy (very rare)

I really want you to know this is normal!! Really normal!! I was exactly the same with Elena and as she got older I was getting me back but then having Aurora going back into literally living for your kids was a huge reality check!! But I promise it gets better🤍

Feel this. I’m so so so tired at the moment. I feel so guilty all the time. Started working part time again and my son still wakes 4 ish times a night. Briefly. But still. Last night he slept so well and I was awake for three hours waiting for him to wake. How ridiculous. Sending you a big hug. X
