@felidaecentre: 🐾👢 When Your Work Boots Get the Ultimate Wildlife Approval! 😂 Meet Genie, our little spotted genet, conducting a very serious investigation of my Redback boots after a long day working on the farm and caring for our rescued animals. After plenty of sniffing, inspecting, and what we can only assume was a very thorough quality assessment, Genie finally decided these boots were good enough to receive the ultimate genet seal of approval… a little urine marking! 🤣🐾 In the wild, genets use scent marking to communicate information about their territory and identity. Their keen sense of smell helps them investigate their surroundings, recognise familiar scents, and explore new ones. So, Genie wasn’t just being cheeky — she was conducting important genet business!
