Diesel is a byproduct of gasoline . You make 1 gallon of gasoline you get 1 gallon of diesel. They used to dump diesel in the ocean because they had no place to put it. Diesel is 98.9% pure profit. You don’t believe me, Google it.

It’s the Iran war. Demand is high and supply is low because the refining and shipping out of Saudi is effectively cut off. The taxes pay for highway maintenance and construction. And making it low sulfur is environmentally important. Trend on higher prices is absolutely because of the Iran war.
