@simonsquibb: His story is heartbreaking… 😕 I just met a young man who’s about to make a blockbuster. Last week at the Venice Film Festival I sat down for breakfast with him. He’s from Chad. At 17 he moved to Italy, then to France, which is where he lives now. Armani have just signed him as a brand ambassador. He told me what he went through to get here, and honestly, I came away with enormous respect for him. Brilliant, driven, and he’s already contributing more than most. Then I came home and turned on the news. Everyone in this country is talking about immigrants right now. Almost nobody is talking about who they actually are. We get the numbers and the arguments and endless debate about whether we want these people here. We never hear their dreams. That’s the bit that makes me sad. There are thousands of people like him in this country and nobody is telling their story. Everyone has a dream. Everyone needs help getting there. Same as you did. Same as I did. So what if the thing this country keeps calling a negative is actually one of the biggest positives we’ve got? I had breakfast with a man from Chad who’s about to be on billboards across Europe. Ask people what their dream is. You’ll be amazed who’s standing in front of you. #simonsquibb #dreams #business
