Strangest thing to me is in order to keep your battery in “good health” you dont charge above 80 or let it get below 20. So only 60% of your range can be used for best practice?

Problem is a charge is less convenient location and time delay on your trip. And shouldn’t charge to 100%

I’ve never seen an EV on the side of the road with a flat battery. It just doesn’t really happen. If they were such a problem for people to use, the roads would be littered with them

Too be fair when I first bought my Taycan I had range anxiety. Then I realized there's chargers everywhere and I just needed to trust my car's planner

I’m an EV fans and owner, but this is a stupid statement. You can have range anxiety depending on the situation and proximity of chargers. Roadtrip into rural areas are definitely a thing.

So I’m fine for summer but in winter my range drops super low since I have to turn the heater on killing my range even further. I only drive 80 miles round trip and my supposedly “245 mile range” car almost died on my one super cold day

I drive a 100 miles a day. And I charge in my garage while I sleep. Every morning I have a full charge. And have 61k miles and just put new rear tires on it. before the tires I haven't spent a penny on the car. as a daily driver. Never going back to ice.

I don’t call it range anxiety, it’s charge time inconvenience. I’ve been looking into charging locations for traveling to/from cities here in AZ, and the charge locations are not convenient. Other than that, totally agree.

Very true. But I would also mention, that model dependent(type of battery installed), you typically only charge to 80% to preserve battery longevity. And 100% on the rare long drives.

I just started classes. I have to drive 150 miles a day. Absolutely destroying my Gladiator and my wallet. I never thought I'd go electric, but I have to.

Driven all over Texas with my R1 and never had an issue. There are fast chargers every 80-100 miles all over the state. By the time I get the kiddo out of the car, take a pee, grab a snack, it’s ready to go. If I can make it just fine I a huge red state like TX, they everyone else is ok too!
