@jpthemusicenjoyer2: And it still hits as hard now as it did in 1996. One of my earliest TOOL memories was listening to Ænima in the car with my uncle, and when this song came on he said “this is the best drum solo ever” and started air drumming along to the track, which is a pretty understandable reaction Is this Danny’s most complex drum part? No. But everything about it is perfect. From the build up to the execution. It hits you like a ton of bricks This clip was from a show in Seattle in 2010 #toolband #drums #concert #metalhead #progressivemetal

Not 30 years ago but still great, that signature snare only came out around the time of Lateralus.

Roger David :

you either like TOOL or you're wrong

Mr Pigeon Sweet Treats :

This is awesome, but it really has nothing to do with a drum solo. If anything it’s playing for the song and serving the Guitar riff/lead. It’s just great drumming, not a drum solo.

Danny probably didn't realise at the time that he'd become the GOAT on drums and be apart of the GOAT band TOOL

Chills, to this day. So good

Snarkydrummer :

When you start playing your drum teacher explains that there’s a way to play where you attack. This man is a GOAT. Those drums are being assaulted.
