@bigmike1poet: Sometimes the quickest way to lose gratitude for what God has placed in front of you is to become distracted by what He placed in front of somebody else. Comparison will have you staring across the table so long that you forget your own plate is still full, still warm, still carrying blessings you once prayed for. Everything on your plate may not look like theirs, but it was never supposed to, your portion was prepared for your purpose, your season, and your becoming. Honor what you have. Give thanks for what is growing. Stop measuring your blessing against somebody else’s serving, because while you’re counting what they have, you could be overlooking the miracle sitting right in front of you.
