The robot is part of an innovative pilot scheme run by healthcare firm Cera at the Hazelhurst Court housing scheme in Lewisham. Lloyd Page, a resident at a care home, loves his robot. He said “She gives me mood reminders and checks to see if i am alright.“ What Genie cannot do is handle physical tasks like helping residents get dressed. That is why care worker Pinar Elmaz doesn't think they will ever replace carers. “It is just a tool to help in between their visits,” she added.
