Ok so let me get this straight, I pay $150 a paycheck for insurance, also I need to have a job in order to have this so good luck starting my own business. I then have a $2500 deductible so I’m paying $150 a paycheck so I can pay $2500 before insurance even works. I’ve met my deductible once ever when I had surgery. My out of pocket max is $4500, so I pay $150 a paycheck so I can pay $4500 before I’m fully covered and that is if the provider operates inside the insurance system. Orrrr I can increase my taxes by maybe $200 a year and not have to pay for private insurance that doesn’t even help me.

I don’t think people understand that IF we had universal healthcare, all that money you spend on your private insurance would no longer be taken out and while you would pay more in taxes, you wouldn’t be paying more in general because it would cancel the other put. Everyone is so worried about someone else getting something free that they are hurting themselves

In the UK EVERYTHING at the hospital is free - we pay national insurance through our wages - everyone pays everyone is covered - I am on a very expensive drug - one tablet a day - cost ? $0.00

I pay $173 every 2 weeks for my company healthcare my employer pays another $300 on my behalf. I have a $5,000. deductible and $40. co-pays I would be happy to continue to pay that $173 every two weeks and never have to worry about my doctor being in my network. whether something is going to be covered or not. America could do so much better without having to give billions of dollars to insurance and pharmaceutical companies

I pay almost 10k for our health insurance, and we have a 9k deductible plus co-pays. my last 'oh no i have a problem' appointment took 14 months to get to. I don't understand being against Medicare for all at all. AND im a licensed insurance agent!

I am middle-class America, and I would be willing to pay more in taxes so that I don't have to pay my employer $270 of paycheck for my insurance, plus my copay at the doctor's office, which changes if I get a specialty doctor, plus what insurance doesn't cover for my MRI or a surgery or a colonoscopy or a birth. We Americans spend more in healthcare than we can actually afford. So I am all for Medicare for All.
