This is a very common problem in our community.. Many Black people with your Skin tone does confused other people until they get to know .. Also, I have many family members that are light completion with Black Mother and Father .. Very Common !!![Heart eyes][Heartwarming]

The crazy thing is…people always think I’m black 😂 when they see I have albinism they just automatically assume that I’m black! Like…white people can’t have albinism too? Sorry I’m very Slavic looking yet JUST because I’m albino…I’m black? It’s so crazy what goes through people’s heads…

I think it’s just a mistake. Within the Hispanic community they get mistaken for black or white all the time as we come in many shades. I look white but I’m Mexican. It’s just one of them things where we have to correct people and move on🙂

I've found that, even though it sounds wacky, in healthcare it's done to be safe. If a black person corrects the error we are rarely offended but yt ppl typically are a little offended. Shrug it off. You are beautiful. Everyone is not educated.
