The women on my maternal side have something similar we have a prominent blonde streak that greys very early. From my understanding it another way that birth marks can show up.

Hello from a fellow hair-birthmarked person! I have a natural black patch in the back of my brown hair. But the funny thing is now that I’m getting older, the black has gone gray way faster than the brown, so now I have a gray patch instead!

I've always heard it was a birthmark. I don't know if that's true. In white people it shows as a white streak. I think it's really cool. You are so lucky.

it's probably got less to do with your parents hair color and more to do with your scalp you might have a birthmark in that area that's affected the hair follicles, I have a scar on the back of my head so I have a big streak of reddish blonde hair in the back of my head because the scar changed the hair follicle
