Some voices remain with you long after the speaker has gone. Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Luḥaydān رحمه الله was one of those voices. A scholar of the Sunnah, a man of knowledge and responsibility, whose words carried the weight of a lifetime spent teaching, advising and serving the Muslims. Imām Ibn ʿUthaymīn رحمه الله said regarding Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Luḥaydān, Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān and Shaykh ʿAbd al-Muḥsin al-ʿAbbād: “ هؤلاء العلماء الثلاثة عندنا ثقات، لو نصحني هؤلاء لأخذت بنصيحتهم لأنهم علماء ثقات ” “These three scholars are trustworthy in our view. If they were to advise me, I would take their advice, because they are trustworthy scholars.” (YouTube) Shaykh Ṣāliḥ رحمه الله was also a member of the Council of Senior Scholars from its establishment in 1391 AH, and served as President of the Supreme Judicial Council. (Al Riyadh) Yet perhaps one of the most beautiful qualities evident in the advice of the scholars is their concern for the Muslims. And so, as this montage comes to its close, listen to the advice of Shaykh Ṣāliḥ رحمه الله: make duʿāʾ for all of the Muslims, because perhaps your duʿāʾ for your brother will be the very reason that your own duʿāʾ is accepted. How beautiful is the heart that remembers others whilst asking Allah for itself.
