@calmatters: We’re kicking off our first VotingMatters discussion event today, Thursday, Sept. 17, at 6:30 p.m. in 1855 First Ave., Suite 201A in San Diego, with the @timesofsandiego. We’ll be serving pizza and information about what will be on your ballot this November. You’re also invited to our Saturday, Sept. 19 event at 11 a.m. in La Mesa at the Grossmont Healthcare District's Health & Wellness Library (9001 Wakarusa St, La Mesa, CA 91942) with East County Magazine. VotingMatters is an issue-focused series of in-person events we produce across the state with on-the-ground partners, including local news orgs, colleges, libraries, churches and nonprofit organizations. Together, we host nonpartisan, issue-focused civil discussions about voting, policy and issues that matter to Californians.
