then the EPA adds on so many emmisions restrictions the new motors dont last half as long. It would be better for the environment if the EPA regulated the vehicles to last longer instead, and get the battery makers to make batteries last longer. Lead acid batteries today last half as long as they did 20 years ago. They design them to fail just after warranty.
