I absolutely can relate. Losing your little soul mate, there are no words. But know that getting another doggie is not replacing them it’s giving another little soul the love and kindness that they deserve. Maybe one day you will be ready. They can never be replaced because they had their own unique personality, the way they greeted you, sat with you, stared into your eyes, made you laugh and slept with you. ❤️❤️❤️

I’m not over the loss of my boy Ollie. 14.5. Held him as he passed and I swear something died with him. It took a year but we now have Brody. He isn’t Ollie and never will be. Same breed, different dog. But my heart needed somewhere for all my love to go. I still cry for Ollie. I’d sell my soul to have one more walk. One more cuddle. My best mate in the whole world. I really feel for you as it’s a pain that so many don’t understand.

It’s brutal, the silence, the guilt, the stillness… you absolutely did right for him, my vet said it once, you will know, he will tell you when he’s ready…it will come, when you can see beyond those final moments and feel comfort from knowing you couldn’t have loved him anymore than you did already, all those precious memories will start making you smile..if dogs could talk I’m pretty sure Hudson would have told you what a wonderful life you let him live 🥹🫶🐾🌈

I'm in the same boat as you. Don't think ill ever get over it. I think about the exact things you do. All I know is I'm getting buried with his favorite toy and leash so I can go on our long walks again. God I hope there's a heaven and I get lucky enough to be there with him

It’s so sad when our soul dogs go over the rainbow bridge. 3 years on from mine, I still have her lead hung up with her poo bags attached, still have her ashes and her bed. It’s the biggest heartbreak of my life. ❤️❤️❤️
