The fact that they would literally die slowly and their flesh would then become the feed for the young ones completing theirs and hence starting the endless cycle for the next ones😭

i went to Alaska 2 years ago and they said once salmon enter freshwater streams, they completely stop eating and use up all their stored energy to fight currents and make eggs, then they die.

Yes they are amazing , I fish the salmon river for them and some areas of the river they climb is truly incredible, 👍
