where is everyone buying their lincoln rod? I buy big cans every month of 7018 Excalibur and 6010 5p+ and it never looks like this at all.. not saying i dont buy other stuff cause im not brand loyal. I've got esab atom arc too and they all run good 🤷🤯

For anyone who isn't a welder and is confused; you NEED each rod to have a flux coating. He spent anywhere from $200-$400 for a brand new tin. This is bad news bears.

Well I would bet it’s a supplier issue! The weld supply you got them from is probably rough on those boxes! You should tell them what happened so they’ll be more careful! If they are a good supply house they’ll exchange you rods

I burned some forney 6011’s today and then some 5p 6010 and the forney blew the 5p out of the water, started up one scratch every time, never finger nailed or had arc blow or anything of the sort. Absolutely ridiculous from Lincoln anymore especially for what you have to pay
