Normal take: scrap the DCU and let Matt Reeves be the one two helm his Batman movies and branch a new DCU off of that foundation. Penguin and The Batman clear everything rn as it is

batman 2 should’ve BEEN came out, it’s been 6 years we should be onto 3 by now. DCU needs batman & the general audience is going to be too damn confused with 2 batman’s going on simultaneously. sure WE’D GET IT. but i promise the general audience gon be lost as hell😭

It needs to, the dcu needs Batman, pattinson will never take a smaller role as a member of the justice league in a random superman movie so they need a new Batman for that role, it will delay the dcu badly

Honestly the merger is the best case scenario if people want pattinsion around for more then two movies but if not then after his duolagy they should just end it there and make a dcu Batman film

tasm2 is genuinely a bad movie, and tasm1 is decent at best. the snyderverse as a whole was absolutely hot garbage and MoS was the best movie and that’s just alright. but matt reeves batman? PURE CINEMA. absolute masterpiece. if they pull the plug on this we will look back on battinson as the greatest what could’ve been. not because he *could’ve* been the best live action Batman, he already is, but because he could be the greatest adaptation of Batman in live action forever if they keep letting Reeves cook. The merger most likely won’t happen but imo the DCU would be worse off having two Batman actors while one of them is getting constantly mogged in every metric by Battinson. They’ll have to retcon some stuff or rearrange the timelines but I think the merge is the only way we get everything we want.
