I also like the scene where the trio meets Eomer. Aragon performs the astounding feat of not only telling that a company of horsemen are close, but also assessing the distance and number of people, simply by putting his ear to the ground and listening. Legolas lets Aragon lie down on the ground and make this report before saying something like: "Yes, I can see the horsemen right over there with my elf eyes. Their leader is very tall."
