@ashki.alchemy: The hair doesn’t curl back into my skin—it grows out straight and then gets covered by a thin, translucent layer of skin. This has happened to me since I was about 8. Is this a keratosis pilaris / follicular plugging thing? Anyone else with hEDS, HSD, or weird skin texture experience this? No amount of exfoliation has cured this, letting the hair grow out doesn't stop it, neither does shaving or waxing (I shave my legs maybe 4 times a year lol) p.s. this isn't medical advice, pls remove your extra skin in a safe fashion without picking, I've been doing this since 8 yrs old or younger and it's what works for me lol #IngrownHairs #KeratosisPilaris #hEDS #SkinIssues #skincondition

hEDS skin doesn’t shed as much so we just have to exfoliate more than other people

I have keratin pilaris and this happens to me alllll the time! I usually need to get a scrub brush meant for feet and REALLY go at my legs in order to free the hairs because they're trapped under a really stubborn layer of dead skin and keratin.

I used to have this too, but now I use glycolic acid on my legs and it doesn’t anymore! Manual exfoliation does nothing, but chemical exfoliation is another story

Wait what??? I just assumed it's an "ingrown" that almost escaped but didn't make it through that last super thin layer....now I don't know which one it is

This happens to me and it drives me nuts!! I have hEDS, but that’s the only explanation so far ;-; possibly eczema or something similar as well

I also have this…. But I also have an even worse version of this…. Were the skin begins to grow over it and creates a strange ridge in my skin. It will become so bad tweezers create trauma… exfoliating doesn’t help because my skin is also thin 😭😭😭 it makes zero sense. It’s like too much and too little skin

Omg i have this and had a feeling it was an EDS thing! I asked my doctor generally what it’d be and they said it’s not a thing 💀 but 100% have this issue
