@elly.psychologist: The clearest difference between a healthy relationship and an emotionally abusive relationship is not whether conflict happens, because both have it, it is whether anything actually gets resolved once it does, or simply managed instead. In a healthy relationship conflict moves somewhere, someone takes ownership of their part, a real repair happens, and the relationship genuinely comes back together, often stronger for having gone through it, whereas an emotionally abusive relationship never actually resolves conflict, it just manages it, deflecting through denial, twisting events, minimising the effect until the person who raised it gives up simply to end the exhaustion, which produces the appearance of peace rather than the reality of it. This same pattern runs straight through accountability inside an emotionally abusive relationship, because being told you hurt someone in a healthy relationship tends to lead to real understanding and genuine effort not to repeat it, but in an emotionally abusive relationship that same moment gets absorbed by whatever tactic makes the discomfort disappear fastest, until the person raising it ends up more confused than heard, lost inside a maze that was never designed to lead anywhere. The same distinction shapes independence too, since a healthy relationship makes room for someone's separate life, friends, money, career, through ordinary give and take, while an emotionally abusive relationship manages that same territory through consequence instead, nothing forbidden outright but everything quietly taxed, silent treatment, jealousy, guilt, monitoring, criticism, until avoiding the cost feels easier than actually using the freedom, and none of it requires anyone in an emotionally abusive relationship to explicitly announce control, it only requires enough repeated consequence that resolution never actually gets the chance to happen at all Official accounts and resources: www.ellyanastasiades.com #emotionalabusiverelationship #emotionalabuse #abusiverelationship #relationshipabuse #emotionalabuse

Mr.J. :
I was made to apologise or nothing was ever resolved. She never apologised in our 3 year relationship. for anything, not once. She told me she would sleep with someone else to stop herself from coming back to me, to protect her mental health. She used Therapy Speech "DARVO" "Reactive Abuse" "Narcissist" to win every argument. She would spam me with Tiktok videos about Narcissism. She would leave me on read for weeks, then reach out with accusations of infidelity and blasting my car horn driving past her house... the list goes on.

If a partner says it’s always about you, Every time you try to express your feelings does that mean I am selfish because it’s starting to feel like that…
