They don't know scripture. the only reasons God says it's "acceptable" to divorce is if the female commits adultery or if the new husband finds something unclean in his wife. Oh and if a 2nd wife (a wife of a man with 2 simultaneous wives) is not provided for by that man. furthermore, the new testament says God hates divorce. he would prefer if we did forgive and try to work it out non stop. forgive your brother (and were all brothers & sisters in Christ hopefully) 7×70 times. also, think of the story of Hosea. the whole point of life is to try and be like Jesus. being ignorant of Gods true love is the biggest problem in this life/world.
