@dmvfoodie: The very first Dutch stroopwafel shop in the DMV is opening soon! And honestly they’re just as good as the ones I’ve had in Amsterdam. Highly recommend the chocolate Biscoff flavor - it was so good! They’re also selling other yummy sweets and specialty goods straight from the Netherlands. Garlic Bread Recipe: Ingredients: 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread, 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened, 4 cloves garlic finely minced, 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional, 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese optional. Instructions: Preheat the oven to 400°F or 200°C. Slice the bread in half lengthwise or cut it into thick slices. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of the bread. Sprinkle Parmesan and mozzarella on top if desired. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the edges are golden and the butter is melted. For a crispier top, broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end. Remove from the oven, cut into serving pieces, and serve warm.
