@obviousinblue: 🚨 Toni Kroos on Ayyoub Bouaddi against Norwich: “Watching Norwich trying to press Bouaddi and after a while I started feeling sorry for them. They send one player, he passes. They send two, he passes between them. Then three players arrive and the ball is already with Cherki. That’s what I like about him. He’s 18 but he doesn’t try to prove he’s 18 by doing something spectacular every time he gets the ball. Sometimes he receives it and gives it straight back. Sometimes one touch. Sometimes two. Then suddenly he sees Cherki from 40 metres and puts him through for the goal. That’s proper midfield play. People think resisting the press means dribbling past three players. Sometimes the best way to beat three players is to let all three run towards you and simply give the ball to somebody else. They’ve done the running. You’ve done the football.”

He's the kind of midfield that can endure naturally the pressure of modern fast football 👍
