Our school made it into more of a party. Food trucks, outdoors, photo booths, led games (foosball, pool, etc), big lit up dance floor and like no slow songs. So everyone goes.

Our kids are all victims of social media. They all strive to get the best pics, focus so much on how they look, and that determines whether or not they had a good time. Dont even get me started on all of the โsenior yearโ stuff. Itโs all about buying things and showing them on social media. I really dont believe they truly know how to enjoy just being in the moment.

I hate that they are so lame in thinking the dance is lame. If they would embrace it and have fun together, it wouldnt be lame. I feel like lame kids made it lame.

We have formals in Australia the dresses cost $300 to $700. Then hair, nails, cars, flowers. No way are they getting a dress to go to dinner.

idk about NOW, but when I was in high school, I never went to home coming OR prom lol it wasn't my cup of tea๐คฃMaybe she can look at cheap options for dresses since she won't be going lol That way, you save some money, and she still gets her picture dress๐โค๏ธ
