While first and foremost I am not going to allow my legs to touch airplane seat, I also always dress for airplane accidents. If I have to deplane via slide, I will have sneakers and long pants on.

I had a woman have a code brown accident in the seat next to me just short of landing. We got off the plane last and they covered her in a blanket. I always wear pants and usually pull sweats once I’m on the plane. When I get to my hotel or home I don’t even sit in the bed with what I was wearing in the flight and have to take a shower before I sit on my sheets. After using public toilets all day, cross contamination is always on my mind

Watching this while I’m actively on a 10 hour plane ride wearing jean shorts. Please forgive me, they were my only clean clothes after 2 weeks in Greece, but can confirm, it’s awful.

As someone with a family member who is a flight attendant, I wear full pants and socks, Clorox wipe my arm rests, tray table and anything else I might touch. Oh and don’t use the ice ✌pack shorts for your destination in your carryon if necessary
