Beloved 'Queen of Cartoons' June Foray had passed away 10 years ago at the age of 99, today would've been her 109th birthday 🎂🕊️ June Foray could spend one recording session as an optimistic flying squirrel and another as his scheming Russian enemy. That extraordinary versatility is why she became known as the “First Lady of Cartoon Voices,” with a career that stretched from classic theatrical cartoons to Disney, Marvel, The Smurfs, DuckTales, and beyond. Some of the characters behind her remarkable legacy include: Rocky the Flying Squirrel (The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show) Granny (Looney Tunes / Sylvester & Tweety) Cindy Lou Who (How the Grinch Stole Christmas!) Natasha Fatale (The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show) Grandmother Fa (Mulan) Magica De Spell (DuckTales) Witch Hazel (Looney Tunes) Lucifer (Cinderella) — vocal effects Jokey Smurf (The Smurfs) Grammi Gummi (Adventures of the Gummi Bears) Talky Tina (The Twilight Zone: “Living Doll”) Nell Fenwick (Dudley Do-Right) Aunt May Parker (Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends) Wheezy / Lena Hyena (Who Framed Roger Rabbit) Ma Beagle (DuckTales) Mother Nature (The Smurfs) Ursula (George of the Jungle) Knothead / Splinter (Woody Woodpecker) Grandma Howard (Teen Wolf) Raggedy Ann (Raggedy Ann television specials) and many many more! It is almost impossible to watch several generations of American animation without eventually hearing her. One woman somehow became heroes, villains, grandmothers, witches, children, animals, and icons, often without audiences ever realizing the same performer was behind them. Happy heavenly birthday, legend! 🕊️ #juneforay #mulan #flinstones #looneytunes - @oniichanhq
