Hallo liebe Freunde! Okay? Ist alles klar? Tschüss! Auf Wiedersehen! #german #germany #deutsch #deutachland #pov
PAHAYI COMMUNITY REAFFIRMS YAYI’S INDIGENESHIP, CHALLENGES CLAIMS OVER HIS YEWALAND ROOTS Pahayi-Yewa, Ogun State — The people of Pahayi-Tile-Toko in Yewaland have reaffirmed their position that Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, is a bona fide son of the community, amid renewed public debate over his ancestral origin ahead of the 2027 Ogun State governorship election. At an engagement meeting held in Pahayi, community leaders, traditional authorities, family members, women and other stakeholders spoke on the senator’s family lineage, maintaining that his roots are firmly connected to Pahayi in the Ilaro area of Yewaland. The Baale of Pahayi, Chief Bisi Ekunola, said the fact that Senator Adeola was born outside Ogun State did not, in the community’s view, invalidate his ancestral connection to Pahayi. «“We cannot say because he was not born here and we will say he is not our son again. There are so many proofs that we can prove that he is our son,” the Baale said.» He also referred to family relationships within the community as part of the evidence cited by the stakeholders. Other participants at the meeting, including family members, also presented what they described as historical and family evidence supporting their position on Senator Adeola’s ancestry. Pastor Ajibowu Emmanuel identified Abdul-Gafar Ayinde Adeola. as Senator Adeola’s father and said photographs and other family materials were brought from the family house in Pahayi. He further referred to family names and burial history in explaining the lineage presented by the community. Meanwhile, Prince Ekunola Gbenga Abraham (PEGA) said the community had taken a position on the matter and warned that individuals who continue making what the community considers defamatory claims could face legal action. He also attributed the renewed controversy to political disagreements surrounding the governorship contest. Similarly, Chief Mukaila Oniyide, the Bada of Isaga Orile, appealed to those involved in the controversy to stop making statements that, according to him, are unacceptable to the community. The engagement comes against the backdrop of claims by some individuals, including opposition political figures, questioning Senator Adeola’s Ogun State origin. Senator Adeola and his supporters have rejected such claims, while some of the individuals raising questions about his ancestry have said they possess information or documents to support their position. The Pahayi stakeholders, however, maintained that Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola’s birth outside Ogun State does not, in their view, sever his ancestral connection to Pahayi, noting that families can relocate and have children outside their ancestral communities. The community therefore called for an end to what its members described as unfounded claims and urged those disputing the senator’s indigeneship to present evidence to support their position. As the debate continues to attract political and public attention, the Pahayi engagement has placed the community’s own account of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola’s family roots firmly on record, while the wider controversy remains a subject of competing claims and counterclaims.
