One time in second grade I got in trouble on the bus so the driver made me sit up front in the seat behind him. He told me “don’t get up until I tell you to.” So my stop came, and I didn’t get off with my sisters and friends. Just kept riding. Almost made it back to the bus garage when they came over the walkie and asked if I was on the bus. He stopped, looked, asked me what I was doing and I’m just like “you told me not to get up🤨”

second day of school my daughter gets off the bus (this is her second year so she's usually good about walking to the apartment door by herself but the first few days I met her at the drop off) and some little girl younger than my daughter gets off the bus looking around asking where her mom and dad are. I looked at my daughter and asked her if this was her stop and she said nope. flagged the bus driver down quick before he pulled away, got the girl back on the bus. My daughter said" whew that was close one mom, she almost had to live with us 😓" like no that would not have been the next step but I appreciate your willingness to help I guess 😂

i remember when i was like 6 i fell asleep on the bus, woke up at the bus garage, SCARED, the bus driver who was the sweetest man btw took me home and said he was just letting me finish my nap😭whyndid this man babysit me

As a school bus driver please report them to the garage they operate out of, they should be closing their doors and looking all directions before even leaving. That’s very dangerous, we aren’t allowed to move with the doors open. I do understand not knowing all the kids who will be in the bus I have so many at different stops I’m still learning who gets on and off where. They should hopefully always do a check after the last stop to check for sleeping children and make their way back to that kids stop.

that's wild they pulled away before the doors were closed. all thru school all my drivers sat there until the kids made it to the house or if there was a parent outside.

One time the bus driver FORGOT to stop to drop me off. Like didn’t even go down my street. I was too young to realize what happened. Instead of telling the truth the bus driver told my mom I fell asleep on the bus 💀…. I did not fall asleep. I actually had really bad anxiety as a child and couldn’t fall asleep like that.

Had this happen to me in high school i woke up and he was pulling in to the lot where they keep the busses I popped my head up and he said oh shit just asked what stop I got off at and he drove me all the way back I was the 3rd stop took 30 minutes to get there 😂

the bus dropped my son off in an unfamiliar area 15 minutes away from home on the first day. AFTER I called transportation to tell them he got on the wrong bus and they supposedly dispatched the driver. he had to sit by himself in a not great area until my husband got there 😵💫.... I'm just glad he had his phone with his location. how would I have known where he was at????

One time when I was in preschool, I fell asleep on the bus on the way to school, and I woke up when they were dropping off all the high schoolers, and one of them woke me up and told the bus driver, and they gave me a bag of Cheeto puffs lol

I fell asleep once and if it wasn’t because the bus driver told the last kid to check if anyone was left I would’ve ended up waking up at the bus station. My mother was in tears after she dropped me off because she thought something happened to me. From that moment on I was assigned seat 1 cause they didn’t trust me no more

my worst fear growing up 😂 as soon as we were 2 stops away I made sure all my little siblings were aware they needed to get ready and watch me. I was so paranoid I'd lose one of the 4 of them. the year I went to a different school my baby sister went to kindergarten and she was angry reporting to me that my brother was MILITANT on the bus 😂 he paid attention
