Its the sequel paradox. The Clone wars saved the prequel trilogy as well as the fact that a new generation became adults and didn't remember the hate the prequels got. Underneath all the bad dialogue and CGI is a good story. The sequels however haven't gotten their Clone Wars. Disney are too cowardly and Streaming Service focused to do a Clone wars equivalent. So all the new kids media is pretty distant from the Sequel Era. A new generation will grow up with the same characters us GenZ did. Then when they watch the Sequels as adults they'll think of the rubbish stories with loads of plot holes that never got filled by a Clone wars equivalent

it's even worse because the first project that canonically takes place after the sequel trilogy takes place over a thousand years in the future so far in the future but the consequences of these characters actions are meaningless

Acting was fine, the writing across the three movies was balls. Like stand alone stories sort of ok but not amazing, 7 was mid, 8 had potential, 9 was underwhelming honestly…it was too tidy, too easy.

Prequel characters would keep popping up in various video games and comics throughout the 2000’s and then be reintroduced again with the clone wars tv show. Meanwhile the sequels has pretty much nothing other than the resistance series (lmao)

They rushed out movies to make money and tried to prop up new characters while diminishing the OG and not respecting the legacy, all they had to do was have the OG come back nostalgia bait a little. Use them as mentors to usher in the next chapter, you can’t make a successful next gen while shitting on the last it never works
