I gotta say i love both The Penguin and Lanterns, but to put one on top of the other takes for me to see the ending of Lanterns. What I can say is that DC is fucking cooking right now. These two are currently top 2 live action comic book shows for me. I know it is hypocritical, but I already put both of them above DD. Sorry not sorry

Paragraph but IDGAF: Bruh just say you like the Lanterns lore more and it’s your favorite show, doesn’t mean it’s better and I love both shows. The Penguin is in all time great show convos, not just comic shows. We will see how Lanterns wraps up. Lanterns should be doing a bit better in its run time since the brand is healthier and HBO Max has grown a lot since. Also Oz and Sofia are clearly the best written characters, Hal is close and John is great but he’s not on that level just yet. The Penguin is not getting mogged by anything. As a DC fan it woulda been wild if after this growth and even just the fact it’s a Lanterns show, if the viewership wasn’t higher than The Penguin which had higher than expected viewership number because it blew people’s minds and reached the general audience. The awards run with wins and nominations including 24 Emmy Nominations which is among the highest ever back that too. Only Batman spinoff I see doing more numbers is maybe a Catwoman, Dent, or Arkham show. Obviously if Batman/Bruce shows up it would be higher, and The Penguin S2 obviously as well.💪🏾

I have to wait for the season to end but it’s getting pretty close. Lanterns keeps getting better every episode and this trailer looks like a whole different show. If it hits the landing it may be one of the best first season shows out there

The Batman Part II is making more than Spider-Man’s second movie in the MCU. That saga can break box office numbers and get in the $2B+ category with the prestigious quality and the cast and crew. Also having a box office draw with Robert Pattinson as the lead who also happens to the best actor today helps.

I feel you, and I really hope it takes off like that, but the story of Anakin Skywalker is simply THE greatest classical tragedy ever penned. The scale and scope of it is so overwhemingly massive and the depth of character shown is too much to ever be surpassed. Nothing against Hal, Anakin is just the closest thing to a structurally perfect classical tragedy ever written.
