I do this. In my federal job there are exempt employees and non exempt. I’m the latter. after I clock out if this happens I say sorry I’m on the way out, please email me and I’ll respond when I clock back in. We’re not ER doctors. Nobody is gonna die.

I do this. I always end my shift at 10 pm at my retail job and when it hits 10pm exactly, I am done.. my department manager and some other coworkers are usually still doing stuff after 10, and then message about working 30 extra minutes.. like no. we did what we had to, it is closing time and time to go. ❤️

I would never abruptly leave a call like that personally, it doesn't take much to interject and say "I'm sorry but we'll have to continue this conversation tomorrow, I have other commitments outside of work that require my immediate attention. We'll touch base first thing tomorrow"

I do this and they hate it, they also hate it when I just leave and don't say goodbye to anyone. Like they ain't my friends just management and I don't like 90% of them so why would I tell anyone I'm leaving at the end of my shift 😂

As a manager, I just take over the dities of the leaving employee because they don't get paid to give a shit like I do. They get paid to do thier job, stock up, clean and go home at the exact time they were scheduled off. It's my job as the leader to take up the slack and get it done. I sometimes even let my people go home early if I see they kicked ass and their stiff is at least 85% done. There's no need to give staff extra shit when you should be doing it yourself to begin with.
