And the best part? You can get to the lake with just a short walk from the parking area. Bring the kids, walk along the shoreline, explore the rocks, have a picnic, or just sit by the water and enjoy the views. Swimming is allowed, and non-motorized watercraft like kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards are welcome too. 🏔️ Trail & Location Info: • Elevation: 8,150 ft • Lake loop: ~2.5–3.5 miles • Difficulty: Easy • Mostly flat terrain • Located along Tioga Road (Highway 120) • Between Yosemite Valley and Tuolumne Meadows • Picnic areas & vault toilets available The water is COLD even in summer, but on a warm day, there’s nothing better than sitting along the shoreline with those High Country views all around you.
