I also saw a video by Beyonces hair brand on YouTube of jay z and why he grew is hair. It was because when blue turned like 5 or 6 she started hating her hair. Beyoncé said in the video that blue didn’t see any one with hair like hers so when jay z grew his out for her it helped her love her hair. The fact that it was black women making fun of blue ivy’s hair when she was a child is just so crazy.

As someone that works in a middle school, YES! SMH. The children bring in jars of edge control and gels with the thought that their hair is “nappy” they only feel that hair is nice or pretty if you have a sleek slick down, wigs, or fresh braids. Children will not even come to school if their hair isn’t “done” or “pretty” but done and pretty to them is a wig or braids because their natural hair is “ugly” it’s sad.
