@egypton.thego: Mohamed Mounir is one of Egypt's most beloved and iconic singers, known as "El King." He was born in 1954 in Aswan, in the heart of Nubia, Egypt. He is Nubian by origin and Egyptian to the core. Mounir is the perfect example of an authentic Egyptian Nubian. He has never wanted, and will never want, to belong to any country other than Egypt just because he is Nubian. Even if someone argues that ethnically Nubians are different, Mounir is Egyptian in soul, heart, and spirit - just like every authentic Egyptian Nubian in Egypt. He is deeply proud of being Egyptian and of being part of Egypt. As a person, Mounir is known for being humble, philosophical, and very close to the people. He is not just a singer; he is a voice for the Egyptian youth, for freedom, for love, and for identity. He started his career in the late 1970s and was different from everyone else, mixing Nubian music, Egyptian folk, jazz, reggae, and modern sounds. Most of his songs, whether they are directly patriotic or not, are about something purely Egyptian. When he sings about love, it is Egyptian love. When he sings about pain, it is Egyptian pain. When he sings about the Nile, the streets, the people, and the homeland, he sings about Egypt. His music is Egypt in its purest form. For all Egyptians, including Nubians, Mounir proves that being Egyptian is not about race, it is about belonging, loyalty, and love for this land🇪🇬. • follow @egypton.thego #egyptonthego • • #egypt #explore #viral #fyp
