@tavelarocque: Day 98 of the @HigherUpWellness speak your mind challenge. you've got pandora's box wrong. everyone forgets what was left inside. she opened the jar and every evil flew out, disease, death, cruelty, all of it loose in the world forever. but one thing stayed trapped inside: hope. and for almost 3,000 years, it was the only thing that didn't escape. the first reading is that hope was left as a mercy, the one antidote strong enough to let us survive all the evils that got out. but the darker one, the one hesiod himself hints at, is that hope was the last evil in the jar. because false hope is what keeps you stuck in a life you should be changing, waiting, telling yourself it'll fix itself while you never move. the same hope that comforts you might be the exact thing keeping you stuck. #mythology #philosophy #pandorasbox #mindset

never thought about it this way but I. sense it has crossed my mind quite like not loud enough to draw attention to thought like this.. very interesting perspective. hope was smart to stay behind cause it's deceiving or can be? if not handled carefully??
