My major opinion on RoP is that they really hit the tone of LotR. And they did it better than the Hobbit movies did. It's not perfect, but it's more of what I loved about LotR.

I love the rings of power the way i see it is that its a prequel to the movies so there’s a connection to the movies more then the books. And i know know people are not going to like that but thats how i see it

I will say, the big major inaccuracy is that Sauron never had any troubles with the One. He did it first try. But that wouldn’t be fun to watch on a show. They know what they are doing, they are making him mess it up because of the lost pages so that way there is drama. I understand why. That’s why I’m not mad. It literally would not be entertaining to watch a 2 minute clip of him just successfully doing the ring and it all being over. We need something to have suspense and build a sense of urgency. I don’t think many people get how film/show making works and it really does show. LotR and Hobbit movies were also very edited as far as canon goes. I think people forget this as well. Peter Jackson may have done them well, but he did not keep full canon— and he had full access to the canon.

Agree with your comments. Sauron actor does a great job and that storyline is the best part of the series. The harfoots portion is horrendous.

had the pleasure of meeting the cast at comic con this year (I work in media) and the cast seem like genuine friends. really enjoying each other's company. excited for season 3 regardless of how I felt about the other two seasons.

I'm a giant LOTR fan... But season 2 made me stop watching ROP simply because it was soooo boring... Similar to Silo season 3...just boring I don't understand how they become so boring

honestly, there isn't really great source material behind it because the second age lacks everything that the first and third age have, so it does ehat it can woth what little we have and honestly it's doing a good job for me
