I hope you don't mind me saying this, I truly mean this with love and obviously I'm not a medical professional, but with everything you've shared about her growth, bowed legs, teeth and now this injury I wonder if her doctors have looked at her overall bone health/vitamin levels? Hopefully they've already considered it ❤️

I would request a second X-ray around day 10 as fractures and breaks don't always show up straight away in littles!

My 4 year old just got a buckle fracture in his forearm this week from falling off the back of our couch Monday!! He has a “combination cast” and even that’s god awful for him! I hope she’s able to heal quickly without any casting

my son had a leg fracture, it was so scary but they said no cast because he’ll heal the same with or without a cast

Praying for her speedy recovery🖤 my 20mo just started climbing on her rocking chair and no longer lets me rock her to sleep 🙃 we’re moving it soon. I’m always so impressed with how much Nova talks at the same time it makes me concerned because my daughter won’t say more than mama or dada. Any advice for promoting speech? I think we gotta cut tv out which I’m trying to do it’s a crutch I’ve gotten too comfy with to get any stuff done😩

My daughter has been in multiple spica casts due to her hip dysplasia and we’re nowhere near done yet so just here to say thank goshhhhhhh you could avoid the spica cast because they are NOT fun

In my experience, doctors do typically try to avoid casts whenever they can. Especially with children, they basically don’t want them forming the habit of moving “wrong” to accommodate the cast. And with bruising it tends to be better to try to increase blood flow to promote healing and movement is the simplest way to go about that.

Spica cast from the end of January this year until the middle of May 🙃🙃🙃 It was ROUGH (she had undiagnosed hip dysplasia and the surgery failed the first time) she was in so much pain and discomfort so she nursed nearly every hour for the first 3 weeks and I was getting no sleep. I’m so happy yours doesn’t need one!!
