@taniakhazaal: Society has convinced an entire generation that becoming an adult means you don’t need your parents anymore. You don’t need their advice, their guidance, need them questioning you or telling you something you don’t want to hear. And when they do, suddenly they’re controlling, toxic or crossing a boundary. But becoming your own person was never supposed to mean your parents no longer have a place in your life. Growing up doesn’t mean outgrowing your parents. #parents #lifecoach #parenting #trendingnow #mindsetmotivation
And what about narcissists parents? you advise people to talk it through when they can't even acknowledge the issues themselves or admit to it.

If i come across anyone who says they go “no contract” with their family members, i block them immediately. Cos people like that only see when others are “abusive” towards them but don’t see when they themselves are disrespectful and abusive towards others.

Whether you are 18 years old or older you would always need support from close relatives, especially your parents; parents always want the best for their kids. Parents are special advisors !
