I agree with the majority of what you’re saying but I don’t think you fully grasp what postpartum psychosis is. The discussion isn’t really about postpartum depression it’s about postpartum psychosis. Too many people are conflating the two. The idea that “it could have been us” isn’t a ridiculous notion at all. Postpartum psychosis can happen to anyone who goes through postpartum. This entire trial has taught me that the vast majority of the population has virtually no understanding of psychosis

as a british person, i’ve been thinking about this since american tourists started getting called “loud” for the first time on tiktok, i really think it’s because america talks about “you’re free you’re all free” when people so obviously aren’t free, so that creates a idea that you need to be an extremist in whatever you believe so that you can finally feel free the way the government claims americans already are, that make sense? and because the american school system doesn’t teach students how to spot propaganda it means americans are very mouldable

I’ve also stopped following public trials for the same reason. The more displayed they are the more apathetic we get as a people, we stop thinking about the victims entirely and immediately go to “who’s side are you on” and not every trial is that simple. It’s disgusting how trials feel more like reality TV shows instead of actual tragedies
