@doyouevengunbro: LRRP — Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol 🇺🇸🪖 Pronounced “Lurp,” LRRP teams were small, heavily armed groups of roughly 4–6 U.S. Army soldiers operating deep inside enemy-controlled territory during the Vietnam War. Their mission was reconnaissance: gather intelligence on enemy presence, strength, and movements—often while moving quietly through dense jungle and doing everything possible to avoid detection. But avoiding contact wasn't always an option. When a small LRRP team was discovered, they could suddenly find themselves fighting a much larger enemy force. These missions were some of the most dangerous assignments of the war, and LRRP teams suffered significant casualties. Few men. Deep behind enemy lines. No room for mistakes.
