I love that Father isn’t interesting in “correcting” but rather listening and learning. That’s the kind of support people need in their prayer life—not quizzing them about what Paul meant in a particular passage or the rules that came out of a particular Council. I should do the Examen more often. Heard about it first in your book “Learning to Pray” and later in “The Jesuit Guide to Almost Everything”. Although I attend an Episcopal church and do their Morning and Evening (when I can) prayer, I think it’s a cool way to pray.
