I think a custom made headboard to take the place of that piece of wood holding the doors shut would be an awesome finishing touch. If you built it to lay into those metal hooks and hold the doors shut while also being removable then it would give you functionality and would also look really good when you pull the bed down. Nevertheless, Awesome work man - this project has been very cool to follow.
